Orein Francis Jafter is a Zimbabwean researcher, community leader and advocate for African innovation based in South Korea. Since arriving in Korea in 2018 he has dedicated himself to strengthening Africa–Korea relations through scientific research, education, cultural diplomacy, youth empowerment and diaspora leadership.
Specialising in nanobiomedical engineering and translational medicine, Jafter focuses on advancing sustainable healthcare innovation through nanotechnology and biomedical research. Beyond academia, he has played an active role in initiatives such as the G.O.E.L Computer Educational Initiative, the Seoul Africa Festival, KAFCON and the Zimbabwean Community in Korea — promoting digital literacy, cultural exchange, sports diplomacy and community development.
As a researcher, leader and advocate, Jafter is committed to creating meaningful impact by connecting innovation, education and community engagement to empower Africans both at home and abroad.
