Overview
Attended the university's ceremony honouring the President of Rwanda — an occasion where African heads of state, Korean academic leadership and the African student community were in one room.

Approach
Represented the African student and research community at the ceremony, and used the surrounding programme to raise the case for institutional rather than individual research links between Rwandan and Korean universities.

Impact & value
Direct visibility for African researchers at the most senior level of a Korean university's international programme, and contact with the Rwandan delegation that carried into subsequent embassy engagement.
